Well, I suppose the winding key will be visible in the photo, so the pose has to be a profile (I don't think a three-quarter would be enough, unless the key is really big).
From what I can see from Gary's site, he prefers relaxed positions (not freeze frames) where the doll looks to the camera (except here,
