I could actually use some suggestions from our doll friends in here. Gary is going to make me into a wind up doll for a broken doll image...his first wind up doll!!!! :) We are discussing various poses and outfits. I am not sure what sort of pose would present a wind up doll in the best light. Could be something sitting, laying, standing, bent over, etc. I am also debating about the apparel. Should it be similar to what he's done in his other works or more a cute "normal" type outfit you might find on a wind up doll in a shop?

If you have any suggestions, PLEASE share them! :)

Thank you!

Jena~

Well, I suppose the winding key will be visible in the photo, so the pose has to be a profile (I don't think a three-quarter would be enough, unless the key is really big).
From what I can see from Gary's site, he prefers relaxed positions (not freeze frames) where the doll looks to the camera (except here, http://www.garycrozier.com/iWeb/GMC/Trixie%203.html). So you could try a pose like this, http://www.garycrozier.com/iWeb/GMC/Swe ... Amour.html, however with more "rigid" arms (don't know how to convey this through a photo though...)
As for the outfit, maybe you could try something like this, http://www.garycrozier.com/iWeb/GMC/Betty%201.html, even if something more "easy" like http://www.garycrozier.com/iWeb/GMC/Porcelain.html could work. It's up to you! (oh choices, how difficult, isn't it? )
